ESPN has named Jets CB Darrelle Revis to its their NFL All-Quarter Century team.

ESPN unveiled its 53-man roster at the start of June, and it featured the Hall of Fame defensive back as well as LG Alan Faneca and S Ed Reed, who each spent short stints with the Green & White during the 2010s. In addition, RB LaDainian Tomlinson was an honorable mention.

"To celebrate the quarter-century mark, we picked out the best NFL players since 2000 and filled out a complete lineup," ESPN's Aaron Schatz wrote. "These decisions were made mostly on statistical output, focusing on peak seasons while still rewarding longevity."

Revis played 8 seasons for the Jets over two different stints. He was named to the Pro Bowl 7 times during his 11-year career and a First-Team AP All-Pro 4 times.

In 2009, he earned the moniker Revis Island after limiting several of the league's best receivers to lackluster performances over consecutive weeks, en route to second-place finish in NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting.

"Even the best receivers in the NFL disappeared on Revis Island," Schatz wrote. "In the star cornerback's best season (2009), the Jets allowed an average of 29 receiving yards per game to opposing WR1s. Revis' 31 passes defensed that year are still an NFL record, four more than any other cornerback has ever had in a single season."

Faneca, who played two seasons with New York (2008-09), made two of his nine Pro Bowls and one of his eight All-Pro teams with the Jets. The Hall of Fame offensive lineman started all 32 games and helped the Jets reach the 2009 AFC Championship game.

"A stalwart at left guard for the Steelers before late-career spells with the Jets and Cardinals, Faneca missed only one game from 2000 on," ESPN's Seth Walder wrote. "His six first-team All-Pro selections are more than any other left guard this quarter century."

Reed, a Hall of Fame safety, finished his career with the Jets in 2013. He played in 7 games (5 starts), posted 3 interceptions and 22 tackles.

Tomlinson played the final two years of his career (2010-11) with New York and rushed for 1,194 yards and aided in the Jets' run to AFC title game in 2010.
