The Jets have claimed DL Mike Pennel off waivers from the Packers.

Pennel signed with Green Bay after going undrafted in 2014 and appeared in 13 games his rookie season, registering eight tackles. In 2015, the 6'4", 332-pounder started five games and appeared in all 16 contests. He played eight games in 2016, compiling 24 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

The Aurora, CO native played collegiate ball at Scottsdale Community College, Arizona State University and Colorado State-Pueblo.
