The Jets have waived tight end Jordan Leggett.

Leggett (6'5", 258) was the Green & White's fifth-round pick (150th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Clemson. As a rookie, he spent the first half of the season on the active roster but didn't play a down, then the second half on Injured Reserve.

Last season Leggett played in 15 games with four starts and posted 14 receptions for 114 yards (8.1 yards/catch). His lone pro touchdown reception came on a 2-yard pass from Sam Darnold with 11:18 to play in the Jets' Game 3 loss at Jacksonville. For his career, Leggett participated in 326 offensive plays and 93 more on special teams.

The Jets now have five TEs on their 90-player roster — second-year man Chris Herndon, veteran returnees Eric Tomlinson and Neal Sterling, unrestricted free agent signee Daniel Brown, and fourth-round rookie Trevon Wesco.
