The New York Jets and STOMP Out Bullying recognized Memorial Junior School in Whippany, New Jersey, on Tuesday as part of the organization's anti-bullying school recognition program. Jets linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin and Ross Ellis, CEO of STOMP Out Bullying, attended Memorial Junior School to honor the school's commitment to preventing bullying by providing a fun and informative presentation.

In August, over 100 educators from the tri-state area attended a joint Anti-Bullying Symposium co-hosted by the Jets and STOMP Out Bullying. The inaugural event featured two panel discussions that focused on highlighting the latest trends in anti-bullying as well as the best practices to prevent bullying in schools. Attendees then had the opportunity to share their top learnings from the symposium for an opportunity to be recognized by the Jets and STOMP Out Bullying. As a result, Memorial Junior School was selected this month for their response. Three additional schools will be recognized later this spring.

In 2015, the Jets launched an anti-bullying awareness campaign with STOMP Out Bullying that featured 1,000 free, Jets-branded STOMP Out Bullying Educator's Prevention Toolkits for tri-state area schools with the hope of raising awareness about the devastating impact of bullying and to empower educators and teens alike with educational resources to help put an end to bullying. While schools have already been selected for recognition visits, there are a limited number of free Jets branded STOMP Out Bullying Educators' Prevention Toolkits still available. This toolkit enables educators to create meaningful dialogue, educate students through proven Social Emotional Learning methods, adopt character building in schools and involve both students and faculty in working together to change school climate.
