The Jets have signed safety Brandon Bryant and waived wide receiver Devin Smith.

A Mississippi State product, Bryant was not selected in the NFL's supplemental draft. The 5'11", 207-pounder recorded five interceptions and 157 tackles in three seasons with the Bulldogs while appearing in 37 games. At his Pro Day, Bryant posted 40 times of 4.45 and 4.52.

Smith, a second-round pick in 2015, had 10 receptions for the Green & White over the course of 14 games. The 6'1", 199-pound Ohio State product appeared in 10 games as a rookie but suffered a torn ACL and was limited to four contests in 2016. He missed the entire 2017 campaign after suffering another knee injury last spring.
