The Jets signed cornerback Xavier Coleman from the practice squad and waived wide receiver Jalin Marshall.

An undrafted free agent, Coleman signed with the Jets in May and spent the summer with the team. The Portland State product injured his leg in the Green & White practice and played in the final two preseason contests. The 5'11", 190-pound Coleman amassed nine interceptions in 45 career contests and earned All-Big Sky Conference honors in three of his four collegiate seasons.

Marshall, a second-year receiver out of Ohio State, spent his rookie year with the Jets after going undrafted in 2016 and hauled in 14 receptions and two touchdowns. The 5'10", 200-pounder served a four-game suspension at the beginning of this season.
