The Jets have added defensive back Tyvis Powell to their practice squad.

Powell played in six games this season (one start) for the 49ers and recorded six tackles and one forced fumble. The Ohio State product originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2016 and appeared in eight games as a rookie before spending time with the Browns and Colts. Powell then rejoined the Seahawks in September of 2017, was released a month later and signed with the 49ers.

At Ohio State, the 6'2", 211-pounder totaled 112 tackles, eight interceptions, nine pass defenses, one forced fumble and one recovery in 41 games.
