The Jets have signed DL Mike Pennel.

The team originally claimed Pennel off waivers from Green Bay on Feb. 7, but didn't make the four-year veteran an RFA tender, thus making him a free agent.

Pennel signed with the Packers after going undrafted in 2014 and appeared in 13 games his rookie season, registering eight tackles. In 2015, the 6'4", 332-pounder started five games and appeared in all 16 contests. He played eight games in 2016, compiling 24 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

The Aurora, CO native played collegiate ball at Scottsdale Community College, Arizona State University and Colorado State-Pueblo.
