The Jets (3-13) fell to the Patriots (13-3), 42-10, at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. Here are three takeaways from the game.

RB Breece Hall Cracks 1,000 Yards
During Sunday's loss, RB Breece Halleclipsed 1,000 rushing yards this season for the first time in his NFL career. Hall did it on a 7-yard run in the third quarter, but the highlight of his 111-yard rushing day was a 59-yard TD run at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

It was the team's lone touchdown of the day and the longest offensive TD of the Green & White's 2025 season. It was also Hall's longest run since Week 5 of the 2023 season.

"Fighting that entire game and then breaking off a touchdown run like he did when there was no hope and he instilled some hope to finish that game -- extremely proud of him," QB Brady Cook said.

Aaron Glenn said while "it's a good accomplishment for him," the head coach knows Hall "wants wins more than just the thousand right now."

Hall is one of 15 players in the league to surpass 1,000 rushing yards so far this season, and his 1,415 scrimmage yards currently rank 11th in the NFL.

Special Teams Adds More Highlights to Standout Season
Special teams coordinator Chris Banjo's unit has been among the league's best this season and added several more highlights on Sunday.

The Jets were successful on their third fake punt attempt of the season, as P Austin McNamara lofted a pass to S Malachi Moore to pick up a first down. The Jets later attempted another fake punt with a direct snap to RB Isaiah Davis, but the play was unsuccessful.

K Nick Folk -- who has converted 28-of-29 field-goal attempts this season -- was good from 39 yards out in the second quarter. The FG marked his 99th consecutive successful kick from closer than 40 yards out, which is the longest such streak in the NFL in the last 40 seasons.

Additionally, McNamara placed 2 punts within the 20-yard line during Sunday's loss, bringing his current season total to 30. That number leads the league ahead of "Monday Night Football."

HC Aaron Glenn Seeking More Effort
Despite disappointing results in the last several games, HC Aaron Glenn has been impressed with the effort the team has played with. During Sunday's loss, Glenn felt there was room for improvement.

"Today was probably the one time I felt like our effort wasn't as good as I'd want it to be," he said. "And that's just not me BS'ing you guys, just being honest. I didn't think that the effort was where it needed to be. We have to figure that out."

The Jets fell into an early deficit and trailed by 35-3 at halftime.

"At some point it's not about the score anymore, it's about the pride that you go out there and play with," Glenn said. "And again, I'm always going to talk about how our guys play with effort, but today I didn't see the effort that I felt like we needed to go out there and compete at a high level."

OL John Simpson added: "I 100% agree. It was just unacceptable. We have to play better across the board."
