The New York Jets have waived rookie free agent offensive tackle Tavita Thompson. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Thompson (6'5", 309) was originally signed by the Jets on May 1. He started at left tackle as a junior and right tackle as a senior at Oregon State.
