Quarterback Sam Darnold was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Jets' 24-22 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

The second-year signal-caller completed 71.9% of his passes (23-for-32) for 338 yards, three yards shy of tying his career high, two touchdowns and one interception for a 117.6 passer rating. The award comes following the 22-year-old's first game back from a bout with mono that caused his to miss three games.

Darnold is also a finalist for the FedEx Air Player of the Week for his efforts during Week 6. To vote for the USC product, you can visit NFL.com/FedEx or the NFL Twitter page. Voting will conclude Thursday Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. ET and the winner will be announced later that afternoon.
