Petty Gets the Nod:

• Second-year QB Bryce Petty made his first career start in place of injured QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.
• In the first quarter, Petty connected with rookie WR Robby Anderson for a 52-yard completion. It marked the longest reception of Anderson's career.
• Petty connected with WR Brandon Marshall who then lateralled the ball to RB Bilal Powell for a four-yard touchdown. It marked the first touchdown pass of Petty's career. He completed 9-of-13 passes for 98 yards and one touchdown in the first half.

Forté Moves Forward:

• RB Matt Forte finished the game with 98 rushing yards on 20 carries.  
• Fortéadded two receptions for 11 receiving yards, moving him into a tie with Warrick Dunn for 10th on the all-time career receptions list by a running back.

• Forté recorded two rushes of 20-or-more yards against the Rams, including a 28-yard run in the second quarter to bring the Jets to the Rams five-yard line. He now has five rushes of 20-or-more yards by on the season, tied for fifth in the NFL.
• Fortéfinished the game with 109 total scrimmage yards, eclipsing 100-or-more total scrimmage yards for the 70th time in his career, the most by any player since 2008.Fortéhas produced a league-high 3,861 scrimmage yards in home contests since 2012.
• Fortéhas rushed for 90-or-more yards in five contests this season, a total that ranks third in the NFL.

Robby Rolls:

• In the first quarter, Petty connected with rookie WR Robby Anderson for a 52-yard completion. It marked the longest reception of Anderson's career.
• Anderson set a single-game career high with 69 receiving yards, all in the first half. His receiving yardage in the first half was the most by a rookie since Dustin Keller totaled 77 yards against SL (11/09/08) and the second-most by a Jets rookie since 2000.

Consecutive Games:

• Marshall extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 154 with a six-yard reception in the second quarter. It is currently the second-longest active streak in the NFL (Larry Fitzgerald – ARZ). 

99 Yards:

• The Jets capped off a 99-yard drive in the second quarter with a four-yard touchdown by Powell. Petty finished the drive three-of-four for 62 yards and a touchdown, including a 52-yard strike to Anderson. It was the first 99-yard drive by a Jets offense since 1995.
• Sunday's 99-yard drive was the fourth in franchise history since 1963.

Air Defense:

• The Jets held the Rams to 165 yards on 17-of-30 passing (56.6 percent). The Jets have limited opponents to fewer than 175 passing yards in consecutive weeks and are just one of six teams to have held opposing passing attacks to fewer than 175 passing yards twice this season.

McLendon and Mauldin at MetLife:

• Second-year LB Lorenzo Mauldin split a second quarter sack with LB David Harris, bringing down Case Keenum for a three-yard loss. Mauldin improved his season total to 2.5 and his career total to 6.5. He's registered 2.5 sacks in his last five home games.
• DL Steve McLendon recorded 1.5 sacks to bring his season total to 3.5, a career high. All of McLendon's sacks this season have come at home. McLendon now has two games with more then one sack this season.­

David Does it All:

• Veteran LB David Harris paired with Mauldin for a half-sack in the first quarter, bringing his career total to 35.0. Harris broke a tie with Jeff Lagerman for eighth on the franchise's all-time sacks list since the statistic became official in 1982.
