Our photo team possesses the unique ability to document the scenes that fans don't see: the preparation, the rituals and the anticipation before a game. Rookie wide receiver Arian Smith is pictured in the locker room mirror taking a moment to reflect before charging the field at MetLife Stadium to play the Cowboys. My aim this season was to spotlight these moments of calm that underscore the beauty of humanity behind this sport.

It was a rainy Week 13 matchup against the Falcons and running back Breece Hall was doing what he does best with picture-perfect moments to match. Frozen in frame on a toe tap to stay inbounds, Hall exudes precision and finesse. My favorite part of photographing game action is finding these split-second moments that highlight how intentional every movement is on the field.

A hallmark of my photography style is detail that defines a team, a player or a game. During warm-ups before the London game against the Broncos, I scanned the field for unique details that would emphasize this game's mentality, and I landed on wide receiver Isaiah Williams' hands. Before each game this past season, I would find Williams either sitting in front of the field goal post or the door frame of the locker room, meditating and taking time to center himself. Focus was the name of this Week 6 game, and Williams depicted just that, resting in silence and stillness, fingers locked as he surveyed the field before him.

I love photographing moments on the field, but the locker room is a sanctuary of its own, housing the quiet moments that often become my favorite to find. Before heading out to play against the Panthers, cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. is pictured taking advantage of the peaceful locker room to mentally prepare for the game. Headphones on, head down, and nothing else to distract him, Brownlee is the epitome of calm. It is an intimate moment that offers a peek into the preparation behind explosive game action.

Every season has several highlight-worthy plays, and wide receiver Garrett Wilson's one-arm stretch into the endzone for a touchdown against the Cowboys was one of them. These are the moments that light up the stands, get audiences roaring, and instigate cheers across the field. Positioned right behind the pylon, I was in the perfect spot to capture the entire play, and it stands as one of my favorite action shots of this year.

Game action is never a complete story without celebrations and emotions. Everyone on field feeds off each other's energy, and this was evident during a Week 13 game against the Falcons. Linebacker Mykal Walker ran downfield with a booming yell as he celebrated a major solo tackle with smiling teammates trailing after him. That palpable exhilaration is what keeps fans watching, and it makes capturing these moments so much more meaningful.

Each week brings a new challenge to find creative ways to photograph the story of the game. There is always an emphasis on getting quintessential action and pre-game shots, but post-game offers a true open playing field to capture unique moments. Every player has their own post-game agenda, whether that is meeting up with players on the opposing team, swapping jerseys or praying as safety Andre Cisco is shown doing here after the Week 2 game against the Bills. In a prayer circle with players from the opposing team, I utilized the space between two players to isolate and frame Cisco, drawing viewers' eyes to him.

One of the best things to witness this season was head coach Aaron Glenn's infectious liveliness before every game. Without fail, Glenn would high five or hug each player, offering smiles, words of encouragement and bolstering ardor to push his players to give their all. There are countless photos of Glenn's pre-game energy, but this one featuring him hugging wide receiver Garrett Wilson before the game against the Cowboys truly captured his genuine care for and belief in his players.

During the first quarter of a Week 10 game against the Browns, Isaiah Williams followed up Kene Nwangwu's kickoff return touchdown with his own punt return touchdown, making franchise history and setting the tone for this win. While Williams' flying Jet endzone celebration made for amazing photos, this shot showing the whole Jets sideline pointing and urging Williams on adds so much energy and context to this unforgettable play.

Player personalities come to life on game day, spurred on by their excitement and eagerness to get onto the field. It makes for the best photos — the ones you can feel. Warming up in Foxborough to play the Patriots, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell poses for the camera, but it almost feels as though he is staring the viewer down. With a face of pure determination, one can feel Mitchell's energy and tenacity.
