Jets Claim WR Urrutia

The New York Jets have claimed WR Mario Urrutia off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Urrutia, a 6'6", 232-pound Louisville product, entered the NFL as a seventh-round selection (246th overall) by Cincinnati in the 2008 NFL Draft. He was waived by the Bengals on Aug. 30 and signed to their practice squad, where he spent the entire season. During his college career at Louisville, Urrutia tallied 130 receptions for 2,271 yards and 16 touchdowns.
