The Jets get pumped up for the game
The Jets' offense never appeared to get into a comfortable flow Sunday. Bills' defensive end Aaron Schobel pressured Chad Pennington for most of the afternoon while racking up three sacks and a forced fumble. Guard Pete Kendall came to the aide of rookie tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson Monday, reiterating the fact that mistakes must be placed on the whole team.
"I think the old axiom that it's never as good as it seems or as bad as it seems held up," Kendall said. "There were some things that we did well and some things that we didn't do well. When you play as a unit that means, you have to accept maybe one individual's error or poor play on occasion."

New York Jets' QB Patrick Ramsey, 12.11
On if he thinks he will ever start again…
I'm not thinking about that right now. What I'm thinking about right now is coming out here and doing what I can for this team. Obviously, I want the opportunity to go out there and play again, but right now my role is to support Chad Pennington and be ready to go when my number is called.
New York Jets' G Pete Kendall, 12.11
On if he said anything to D'Brickashaw Ferguson today…
No I haven't, not yet. We've got time before we go out and play again. The thing that you want the most after a performance that you're less than thrilled with is a chance to go back out and practice again on Wednesday and start rebuilding confidence.
On what happened yesterday…
We lost the game as a team. For the most part on special teams, we were pretty solid, but offensively and defensively, we allowed the Buffalo Bills to make big plays in critical situations. When you do that, you have to accept the blame, but it's too easy to simply put it all on one guy. It's too easy to say, "It was the quarterback." It wasn't the quarterback. Could the quarterback have played better? Sure, and I'm sure he'll be the first one to tell you that, we all could have played better.
On if Buffalo played a great game or if the Jets played poorly…
I think it was a combination of both. I'm not here to take anything away from the way the Buffalo Bills played the football game yesterday; they played a very good football game. That being said, there are some things that we felt we could have controlled and things that we could have done better that we didn't do. Some of that was us and some of that was the Bills forcing us to making those poor decisions or mistakes.
On Chad Pennington…
I think Chad is fine. I think Chad is a good quarterback, I think he's the right quarterback for this team. I'm not in the business of evaluating quarterbacks though.
On what he thought of the overall performance of the offensive line…
I think the old axiom that it's never as good as it seems or as bad as it seems held up. There were some things that we did well and some things that we didn't do well. When you play as a unit that means you have to accept maybe one individual's error or poor play on occasion.
New York Jets' LB Victor Hobson, 12.11
On what the defense did not do to stop Willis McGahee…
He's a good back, but at the same time, within our defense if there is a little breakdown it leads to big plays. That's what we're talking about; little breakdowns here and there lead to big plays. It's something that we work hard to eliminate, especially since the bye week, and it's something we're going to have to work hard on again this week.
On if Buffalo played on a different level this time…
We knew that we were going to have to match their intensity. They came out ready to play, they came out pumped up, they got a big jump on us and we were never able to recover. They made big plays; their defense was making plays and their offense was making plays. We just couldn't recover.
On if this loss was tougher because they weren't looking ahead…
Definitely; we knew it was going to be a tough game. It was a division game, so it was definitely an important opponent for us and it was a game we were focused on and ready for. The outcome was what it was and we lost. We have to move on to Minnesota.
On if he saw any blaring mistakes on film…
Whenever you watch a film after a loss it's hard, because mistakes that are made are little things that you know can be corrected and that you don't expect to make. At the same time, we just have to learn from it and build off of it.
On still being in the playoff hunt…
We don't try to pay attention to all that. Our goal is to win. All that talk is irrelevant if you don't go out there and win.
New York Jets' T D'Brickashaw Ferguson, 12.11
On the corrections he has to make…
Generally whenever a play doesn't work, whether it is an execution issue or not, it's just a matter of analyzing where your error was, and then trying to make the improvement.
On looking forward to Minnesota…
It's another opportunity to win and we're going to go out there and do the things necessary to be successful. We're going to look at tape, analyze it and do the things we can to win.
New York Jets' LB Matt Chatham, 12.11
On the way the media exaggerates a story…
You have to be a pro about it and you have to be slightly amused by it. You have to remove yourself from the process. At the end of the day, we're the peons, we're the worker bees that go work. What we do is going to be regardless of what you guys are feeling or what other guys are feeling about us. We have to do our job regardless.
On looking like they did in the first half…
The only other game you could point that was comparable to that was Jacksonville where we just couldn't put anything together. That's frustrating, because we felt like we put that behind us, but apparently we haven't and we have a lot of work to do. Like a lot of guys, I'm eager to get out there on Wednesday and try fix those problems and make sure that they don't resurface.
