Players to Give the 'Jerseys Off Their Backs'

The next event in Jets Week activities comes today when many of the Jets players will leave after their Organized Team Activity practice early in the afternoon and visit many businesses in the towns surrounding their Atlantic Health Jets Training Center home to give the "Jerseys Off Their Backs."

"Jerseys Off Their Backs" is one way that the Jets are thanking and acknowledging the community that they now call home. Since they moved to Florham Park in the fall of 2008, the surrounding communities have been nothing short of welcoming and helpful to everyone in the organization.

Players will head to a number of businesses in Florham Park, Morristown and Madison. Each player will bring a signed jersey as a thank you to the business and spend time with business employees, customers and fans at about 12:45 p.m. for about a half-hour.

The Jets worked with local businesses and the town's mayors and chambers of commerce to assemble a list for consideration. There were many great businesses to choose from, but the team can only visit so many establishments. Here are the selected businesses:

Speedy Mart  Zizza Bakery and Deli
 Florham Park Deli  Dunkin Donuts
 Florham Park Cleaners  Nonna's Restaurant
 Panera Bread  McDonald's
 Florham Park Pizza  Starbucks

 Morristown Deli  Scotti's Record Shop
South Street Creamery  Office Beer Bar & Grill
 Subway of Morristown  Greenberry's Coffee
Braunschweiger Jewelers  Anthony's Pizza & Pasta
The Running Company  Grasshopper off the Green

Madison Pharmacy     Madison Bicycle Shop/Bronco's Gym
 Gary's Wine  Karls Appliances
Cramer's Carpet One  Madison Honda/Madison Jaguar
Blue Ridge Mountain Sports               Hollenbach Family Chiropractic

"Jerseys Off Their Backs" is part of a week of activities surrounding the five June minicamp practices June 9-11 that will be open to the public for the first time at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center. Visit for details about Jets Week.
