Players to Give the 'Jerseys Off Their Backs'

The next event in Jets Week activities comes today when many of the Jets players will leave after their Organized Team Activity practice early in the afternoon and visit many businesses in the towns surrounding their Atlantic Health Jets Training Center home to give the "Jerseys Off Their Backs."

"Jerseys Off Their Backs" is one way that the Jets are thanking and acknowledging the community that they now call home. Since they moved to Florham Park in the fall of 2008, the surrounding communities have been nothing short of welcoming and helpful to everyone in the organization.

Players will head to a number of businesses in Florham Park, Morristown and Madison. Each player will bring a signed jersey as a thank you to the business and spend time with business employees, customers and fans at about 12:45 p.m. for about a half-hour.

The Jets worked with local businesses and the town's mayors and chambers of commerce to assemble a list for consideration. There were many great businesses to choose from, but the team can only visit so many establishments. Here are the selected businesses:

Businesses have already been selected for "Jerseys Off Their Backs" but the Jets are happy to consider other local businesses for future events. Interested businesses should email community_relations@newyorkjets.com.
