Who Will the Jets Play in the 2026 NFL Season?

Green & White Will Play AFC West and NFC North

2026 Opponents-16x9

Based on the NFL schedule rotation, the Jets and their three AFC East rivals will face teams from the AFC West and the NFC North in the 2026 NFL season. With their fourth-place finish in the division, the Jets will also add the fourth-place finishers in the AFC South, NFC West and AFC North -- the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns.

The Jets will host eight teams and visit nine on the road. They will face six playoff teams (Buffalo twice; New England twice; Denver; Green Bay; Los Angeles Chargers; and Chicago) and six teams who finished with records under .500.

JETS Home OPPONENTS (8)

Buffalo Bills (12-5 overall, 5-3 away)
The Jets dropped a Week 2 contest to the Bills, 30-10, at MetLife Stadium. During the loss, backup QB Tyrod Taylor replaced Justin Fields, who left the game late with a head injury. After five consecutive AFC East titles, the Bills finished second in the division in the 2025 season. RB James Cook recorded a third consecutive 1,000-yard rush campaign, and QB Josh Allen became the youngest player in league history to reach 300 regular-season TDs.

Miami Dolphins (7-10, 2-6)
The Jets were defeated by the Dolphins in Week 14, 34-10, at MetLife Stadium. Undrafted free agent rookie QB Brady Cook saw his first NFL game action after QB Tyrod Taylor exited the game in the first quarter.

New England Patriots (14-3, 8-0)
The Jets dropped a 42-10 decision to the Patriots in Week 17. In the loss, RB Breece Hall eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his NFL career. The Patriots were crowned AFC East champions later that day for the first time since Tom Brady led the team to the title in 2019. QB Drake Maye, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, had a breakout sophomore season and led the Pats back to the postseason for the first time since 2021.

Denver Broncos (14-3, 6-2)
The Jets and the Broncos will meet for a seventh consecutive season and the eighth time in nine years. Last October, the Green & White hosted Denver at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, and it was a defensive battle. The Jets fell, 13-11, to a Broncos team that made the postseason for the second consecutive year. Denver earned the AFC's No. 1 seed with a Week 18 win over the Chargers.

Las Vegas Raiders (3-14, 1-7)
Las Vegas will visit MetLife Stadium for the first time since 2020. The Jets will look to end a two-game losing streak to the Raiders, who currently hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Green Bay Packers (9-7-1, 4-4-1)
The Packers and Jets will meet for the first time since 2022, when the Jets earned a 27-10 victory. The Packers are in the playoffs for the third consecutive season, acquired DL Micah Parsons in a trade with the Cowboys ahead of the 2025 season. The five-time Pro Bowler played in 14 games and recorded 12.5 sacks before he sustained an ACL tear in Week 15.

Minnesota Vikings (9-8, 5-4)
The Vikings will visit MetLife Stadium for the first time since 2018. The last meeting between the two teams was in London in 2024, and Minnesota earned a 23-17 victory. The Vikings started three different quarterbacks during the 2025 season, including J.J. McCarthy, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Cleveland Browns (5-12, 2-6)
The Jets earned a hard-fought 27-20 win over the Browns at MetLife Stadium in Week 10 of the 2025 season. RB Kene Nwangwu returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, and on the next possession, 2025 team MVP Isaiah Williams returned a punt 74 yards for a TD. It was only the third time in franchise history that the Jets returned two kicks for scores in the same game. Rookie QB Shedeur Sanders started the final 7 games for the Browns in 2025.

JETS AWAY OPPONENTS (9)

Buffalo Bills (12-5 overall, 7-2 home)
The Bills will play their first season in a new stadium after 53 seasons at Highmark Stadium. In Week 18 of the 2025 season, the Jets fell to the Bills, 35-8.

Miami Dolphins (7-10, 2-5)
The Jets will look for their first road win in South Florida since 2014. The Dolphins topped the Jets, 27-21, in Week 4 for their first win of the 2025 season after an 0-3 start. WR Garrett Wilson and rookie TE Mason Taylor led the team with a combined 147 receiving yards in the loss.

New England Patriots (14-3, 6-3)
The Jets fell to the Pats in a "Thursday Night Football" matchup at Gillette Stadium. In-season trade acquisitions John Metchie III and Adonai Mitchell suited up together for the first time, and Metchie recorded his first TD as a Jet.

Kansas City Chiefs (6-11, 5-4)
The Jets will travel to GEHA Field at Arrowhead for the first time since 2020. The Chiefs missed the postseason in 2025 for the first time since 2014, and QB Patrick Mahomes sustained an ACL tear in December during the same game that KC was eliminated from playoff contention.

Los Angeles Chargers (11-6, 6-3)
The Jets will travel to SoFi Stadium to take on the Chargers, who finished second in the AFC West and earned a playoff berth for the second consecutive year. It will mark just the second time the Jets face the Chargers at their stadium since the team's move to Los Angeles.

Chicago Bears (11-6, 6-2)
After a 0-2 start, Chicago went on to win the NFC North for the first time since 2018 in the first season under HC Ben Johnson. Second-year QB Caleb Williams had a breakout season, leading the team to a playoff berth for the first time since 2020. Chicago also boasted one of the league's top defenses, which recorded an NFL-leading 33 takeaways.

Detroit Lions (9-8, 5-3)
After two consecutive NFC North titles and playoff berths, Detroit finished fourth in the division and missed the postseason in 2025. After a strong start, the Lions lost three of their last four games.

Tennessee Titans (3-14, 1-8)
The Titans finished the 2025 season with interim head coach Mike McCoy. After a 1-11 start, Tennessee picked up two wins over the final five games. No. 1 overall pick QB Cam Ward, who exited the final game of the season with a shoulder injury, finished his rookie season with over 3,000 passing yards.

Arizona Cardinals (3-14, 1-7)
After a 2-0 start, the Cardinals earned just one more victory during their 2025 campaign. The Jets will travel to Arizona for the second time in three years.
