The Jets prolific performance on the field this season did more than lift the spirits of their fans, it helped make a difference in the lives of countless individuals who benefit from the work of the Special Olympics of Long Island and the New York Jets Foundation.

That's because three New York Jets sponsors - AIG, North Fork Bank, and Turkey Hill – each helped support the important work of these charities through three innovative programs.

The AIG Kicks for Kids program donated $600 for each Mike Nugent field goal and $200 for each extra point scored by the Jets kicker to its charity of choice, the New York Jets Foundation. This season, AIG raised $25,000 for the foundation which supports educational enrichment, sports and nutrition programs for children in need throughout the tri-state area.

North Fork Bank's* Running for a Reason* program donated $20 for every all purpose yard Laveranues Coles received to the Special Olympics of Long Island. This season, Coles has 1,112 all purpose yards, raising $22,240 for the charity.

And, Turkey Hill's *Sack for Kids *Program donated $200 for each sack by a Jets defensive lineman to the New York Jets Foundation. This season, Turkey Hill, which named its popular ice cream flavor Jets Sundae Blitz in honor of players' contributions to the New York Jets Foundation, raised $7,400.

Thanks to AIG, North Fork Bank and Turkey Hill, for their continued support of the New York Jets Foundation and other local charities. Working together, we can make a difference.
