Throughout the season, NewYorkJets.com will provide a Stock Report focusing on the Jets' upcoming matchup.

The Week 6 report features players and/or themes that are trending before the Green & White take on the Denver Broncos in London on Sunday.

📈 Garrett Wilson Continues to Emerge as a Star

WR Garrett Wilson's career has gotten off to the fastest start of any Jets wide receiver in franchise history with 3 consecutive 1,000-plus yard receiving seasons. In addition, he reached 312 career receptions in Week 5 against Dallas, good for 10th on the franchise's career receptions list.

The Green & White rewarded Wilson with a contract extension over the offseason and the No. 10 overall pick in 2022 has since taken his play to another level.

Through 5 games, Wilson has 33 receptions (6th in the NFL) for 382 yards (7th) and 4 touchdowns (T-5th). He is on pace for 112 receptions, 1,298 yards and 14 touchdowns, all of which would obliterate his current career highs and put him in line to potentially make his first Pro Bowl team.

In addition, the projected receptions total would break the current franchise record, the yards would put him third and the touchdowns would tie the franchise record.

"He's a generational player," QB Justin Fields said. "I've been with him a long time, so nothing that he does surprises me whatsoever.

📈 Kickoff Returns

The Jets have had 8 players return kickoffs this season, but that hasn't stopped special teams coordinator Chris Banjo's unit from ranking third in the league in average yards per return (27.5) and first in

total yards (854).

Second-year RB Isaiah Davis leads the team with 11 returns and has averaged 29.4 yards per return, third best in the league among players with 8-plus returns.

The Jets added RB Khalil Herbert and WR Avery Williams during Week 5 and both settled into returner roles averaging 27.5 yards across 6 combined returns.

"We're one of the better return teams in regards of whatever metric you want to look at," Banjo said in London. "… I think the new guys did a great job downloading the information that we gave to them on short notice and we're looking forward to them continuing to grow."

Ahead of Week 6, the Green & White hope to get All-Pro returner Kene Nwangwu back from a hamstring injury that sidelined him in Week 1. Nwangwu is averaging 33 yards per return this season.

📉 Consistency in Run Defense

The Jets allowed 180 yards rushing to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5, their second most allowed in a game this season. For the season, the Green & White are 27th against the run surrendering 140.4 yards per contest.

Ahead of their Week 6 matchup with the Broncos, defensive coordinator Steve Wilks told reporters in London he has put an emphasis on gap discipline, tackling consistency and finding a way to get off the field on third down.

"We got to do a great job being consistent and that starts with me," Wilks said. "Going through tackling circles and drills efficiently so we get in those opportunities in the game that we can execute."

Denver is 4th in the NFL in rushing yards this season (703) and 7th in rushing scores (6). RB J.K. Dobbins leads the team with 402 yards and 4 TDs on the ground.
