Off the Field at the Green & White Practice

In keeping with the game-simulation approach to Saturday's Green & White Practice at Hofstra University's James M. Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y., we bring you our first "Off The Field" file of the new season.

Kickoff for this practice is 1 p.m. (actually 1:02) and admission is FREE. And don't forget to wear your green and white!

Outside the Stadium

Generation Jets Fest: Visit Generation Jets Fest, an interactive football theme park, in the parking lot at the south end of the stadium. The theme park will be open from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Test your skills with our interactive football challenges that the whole family can enjoy. Vendor Row will open at 10 a.m. as well.

Jets Shop: Pick up your favorite Jets gear, including a limited-edition 40 Years on Long Island commemorative T-shirt.

The New York Jets Flight Crew: The 2008 Flight Crew will be appearing in Generation Jets Fest from 11–11:45 a.m.

Thirsty?: 4C will be distributing complimentary water and product samples.

On Display: Check out the latest Toyota vehicles on display.

Jets Extra Points: Sign up for your Jets Extra Point credit card and receive a free gift.

PST:Learn about traveling to Jets away games throughout the season with Jets Getaways.

Tune In:1050 ESPN New York will be broadcasting live from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. and *newyorkjets.com *is planning an audio play-by-play of the entire event.

As You Enter the Stadium

The New York Jets and A-1 First Class-Viking Moving and Storage will host a food drive benefitting The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network), which operates 19 soup kitchens and 25 shelters throughout Long Island. Please bring non-perishable food items for donation.

Inside the Stadium

Pregame:The team asks that all fans get into the stadium early for pregame festivities, beginning with player warmups one hour prior to kickoff. Pregame festivities will include the National Anthem performed by Victoria Cuomo andthe 2008 New York Jets Flight Crew.

Halftime

At halftime of the practice we will honor our organization's 40-year history at Hofstra University and salute our loyal fans. Jets chairman and CEO Woody Johnson, Hofstra University president Stuart Rabinowitz and former Jets and Hofstra great Wayne Chrebet will be on hand for the ceremony.
