Short Biography:

The Jets selected Leon Washington in the fourth-round (117th overall) of the 2006 draft out of Florida State. As a Jet, Washington appeared in 55 games (13 starts) rushing for 1,782 yards and 13 touchdowns on 370 carries. He also spent significant time on special teams returning 64 punts for 599 yards and 117 kickoffs for 2,986 yards and four touchdowns. Washington earned First-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections in 2008 while a member of the Jets. He went on to play five more season in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, and Tennessee Titans. Washington returned to the Jets as an assistant special teams coach from 2021-2023.
