Jets HC Aaron Glenn told reporters Friday that WR Garrett Wilson is doubtful to play Sunday vs. the Panthers. Wilson, who sustained a knee injury during the Jets' 13-11 loss to the Broncos in Week 6, could miss his first NFL game.

Wilson (6-0, 183) ranks in the top five in the AFC in all major receiving categories this season, including receptions (36, second), yards (395, third), and TDs (4, t-first). An Ohio State product who was the No. 10 overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, Wilson became just the fifth player to record 80+ receptions and 1,000 yards receiving in each of their first three seasons last season.

In addition to Wilson, both CB Qwan'tez Stiggers (hip) and LB Cam Jones (hip) are doubtful. Stiggers has registered 5 tackles on special teams, tied for the second-most on the team. Jones, acquired off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs at the end of August, has appeared in six games and has 4 special teams stops.

"Those guys will be doubtful," Glenn said of Wilson, Stiggers and Jones. "Early on in practice, those guys will be working with the practice and then we'll see how that goes when they transition into practice."

Both WR Josh Reynolds (hip) and NCB Michael Carter II (concussion protocol) will be full participants at Friday's practice. Reynolds, who has 72 yards on 8 receptions in four games, could see an increased role on the outside along with others, including rookie WR Arian Smith.

"We're not saying Garrett isn't playing," Glenn said. "But if Garrett doesn't play, we have other guys that have to step up and he's (Arian) one of them. So that's one guy who can get more action when it comes to that, but we want to make sure that Breece Hall gets it, Mason Taylor gets it, obviously Arian, Josh, Allen Lazard, all those guys get a chance to get the ball at some point."
