The New York Jets announced today that the island of Aruba will be the stunning backdrop for this year's Flight Crew Cheerleaders swimsuit calendar. The inaugural 16-month calendar showcased the 2009 Flight Crew Cheerleaders on iconic beaches in New York and New Jersey. This year's calendar shoot is made possible by the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association, the Aruba Marriott and JetBlue Airways.
An unprecedented number of spots — as many as 40 — will be up for grabs in this third year of open auditions for the Flight Crew. This unique opportunity to be part of the only NFL cheerleading squad in New York starts Saturday, May 1, with the preliminary round of auditions. Walkup registrations will be accepted on May 1 at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Ferguson Athletic Courts at 285 Madison Ave. in Florham Park, N.J.
The semifinal round of auditions will take place at Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday, May 2. The finals will be held the following Saturday, May 8, at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center, the team's headquarters, at 1 Jets Drive in Florham Park.
