KRISTA: Jets Away? There's Still Plenty to Do

Hey, Jet fans! Krista from the Flight Crew here. Wow, what a great game Sunday night! So proud of the Jets and their win over the Miami Dolphins. It looks as though Mark Sanchez is coming into his own and taking on the role as team leader. Although watching the game at home was exciting, nothing can compare with the thrill of actually being on the field cheering them on. I can't wait until Oct. 11 when the Jets host the Minnesota Vikings and I can be back on the field supporting my team.

A question I get asked frequently is "Does the Flight Crew get to travel with the team and cheer at the away games?" Unfortunately, the answer is we don't, but just because the team is away doesn't mean that our job is done. We still maintain our multiple practices per week and attend numerous functions representing our team.

These are great opportunities for the Flight Crew to meet the Jets fans personally and get to know them. In the past few months of attending these events I've come to realize that Jet fans are the most enthusiastic and dedicated fans of all sports teams. I am so proud to be a part of this organization.

Another question I am often asked is "What made you try out for the New York Jets Flight Crew?" I have been a dancer and cheerleader my whole life. I always believed that I was born to perform. I remember the first time I saw a Jets game and the Flight Crew in person. I was amazed and knew that's where I belonged. Now, a year later, I am living this dream. What could be more exhilarating than doing what I truly love in front of 80,000 fans?

I am looking forward to this Sunday's game when the Jets will be playing the Buffalo Bills. Let's hope we put another one in the win column. It's Go Time! J-E-T-S
