JENNIFER: Time Again to Wear the Green

Hi, Jets Fans! It's Jennifer from the Flight Crew!

I hope you are all doing well and keeping busy during the offseason. As Flight Crew Cheerleaders, even though there might not be any upcoming football games for us to cheer at on the sidelines, we are all still very busy preparing for the upcoming auditions as well as attending exciting events and appearances. For those of you who love celebrating St. Patrick's Day as much as I do, one of my personal favorite events is coming up.

On Saturday, March 19, I (along with seven other of your favorite Flight Crew Cheerleaders) will be marching in the 15th annual Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Day Parade on Long Island. This St. Patrick's Day Parade first stepped off on March 22, 1997, and over the course of 14 years has become one of the best attended and supported parades outside of New York City.

The Rockville Centre parade annually shares its success with three worthy charities, which are national-, Irish-, and Rockville Centre-focused. Since the parade's inception, $622,000 has been distributed to 42 individual charities. Rockville Centre's St. Patrick's Day Parade is "The Parade that Cares and Shares"®

The official parade route begins at the intersection of Long Beach Road and Maple Avenue with participants lining up on Sunrise Highway. The parade will proceed along Maple Avenue, passing by Village Hall and St. Agnes Cathedral, ending in Parking Field H2. The parade will last about two hours.

For those of you who want to enjoy a fun day out with your family and friends, this parade is a great opportunity for you to put on your green and show support — for the charities involved and for your love for the Jets!! The parade will begin at noon and the Flight Crew will be available for photos and autographs.

Hope to see you there and I'm looking forward to seeing you at any other events throughout the offseason!

—Jennifer
