Hey Jets Fans!!
It's almost time for the Jets Flight Crew auditions, and I am sure that a lot of you are getting very excited! I am so thrilled about it myself that I cannot wait for it to begin again. As a part of the Flight Crew, of course, we get to cheer on the Jets and entertain all of you on gameday, but we also get to do many other wonderful things that we enjoy just as much. This includes giving back to the community through charity events, television appearances and trips to exotic locations like Aruba and Mexico!
Being a part of the Jets organization is rewarding in so many ways. For all of you thinking about auditioning for the 2011 squad, here are some of the reasons why you should audition and get the chance to fulfill your dreams.
Media Appearances: During and after the season we are asked to do many appearances for both television and print. Over the past two years of being on the team, I have experienced so many amazing things that I thought I would never get the opportunity to do. I never thought that I would see myself in the Wall Street Journal, on the morning news, or even on the Dr. Oz Show. We also get our own television special each year on the making of the Flight Crew calendar, which is very rewarding.
This year we got the chance to travel to Mexico City to promote both the NFL and the New York Jets through charity events and appearing on Mexico's national media. Your friends and family can see you living your dreams and Jets fans will get to know you both professionally and personally.
Giving Back: Every year we do many charity appearances and get so many chances to brighten people's lives. We do a variety of things from the Marty Lyons charity event and the walk for lupus research to joining the New Jersey Army National Guard welcoming home soldiers from Afghanistan and just simply talking to children and putting smiles on their faces. It brightens your day when just one child gets so excited to have a picture taken with you.
When I first became a part of the Flight Crew, I never thought that I would get the chance to be a part of so many rewarding things, and now they have become memories that will last a lifetime.
The Friends You Make: When I first moved to New York, I didn't have many close friends and I missed the feeling of being a part of a team like I had before through dance. When I made the squad in 2009, all of that changed. I now have some of the best friends that I have ever had, and I will keep them the rest of my life. The girls on this team are talented and smart, and my time with them on this team is something I truly cherish.
On the Jets Flight Crew you become part of something amazing. Not only do you become part of one of the greatest football organizations there is, but you also become a part of the team. You get to cheer your team to victory with your best friends through media, charity and gamedays, truly something you cannot find anywhere else.
So if you are considering auditioning for the 2011 squad in April, I encourage you to come. We will all welcome you with open arms and promise it will be a life-changing experience.
