John MacCarter enters his 17th season with the New York Jets and his second as senior vice president, finance and strategy. MacCarter joined the organization as manager, finance in 2010 and previously spent five seasons as the team's vice president of finance and analytics prior to his promotion in 2025.

In his current role, MacCarter is responsible for the organization's financial planning and analysis function and oversees ticket operations and information technology. He also leads the Jets' strategy function, including innovation, industry research, evaluation of new business opportunities, and the club's international growth initiatives in the United Kingdom and Ireland. His responsibilities include supporting key organizational decisions related to revenue growth, operational effectiveness, and long-term business development.

Prior to joining the Jets, MacCarter worked in finance for Manhattan-based video game maker Take-Two Interactive.  He also worked in national broadcast sales at CBS Television and was a media buyer at Universal McCann.

A native of Denver, CO, MacCarter earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where he majored in history.  He earned his MBA from NYU Stern with concentrations in finance and entertainment, media & technology.

MacCarter currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
