Evan Ardoin enters his 10th season with the New York Jets and his second as director of pro scouting. Ardoin served as co-assistant director of pro personnel in 2024 after one season as a senior pro scout and five as a pro scout. He began his tenure with the organization as a college area scout.

In his current position, Ardoin is responsible for maintaining a constant evaluation of current Jets players throughout the entire year and helps assist in the roster reduction process at the end of training camp. He leads the pro scouting department in advance scouting reports for future opponents, monitoring league transactions and NFL practice squads, evaluating and assisting throughout the free agency process and potential trades, identifying and lining up player workouts throughout the year, as well as tracking other professional football leagues and international players for potential roster additions.

In his first season following his promotion to director, Ardoin led the pro scouting department as the group helped acquire key contributors via trade, including defensive lineman Jowon Briggs and Harrison Phillips, cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr., wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, and later safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and quarterback Geno Smith in the offseason. Outside of player acquisitions, the group also helped the team add three first and one second round pick via trade.

This offseason (2026), Ardoin was part of a personnel department that delivered three first round picks for just the third time in franchise history, with the selections of EDGE David Bailey, tight end Kenyon Sadiq, and wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr.

Prior to joining the Jets, Ardoin spent his first 11 seasons in the NFL with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams (2007-17), where he was responsible for evaluating college players in the Midwest region. His area included schools in Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.

Before earning a degree in economics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Ardoin attended College of the Holy Cross, where he played linebacker for the Crusaders. In 2009, he was named to the St. Louis Business Journal's 30 Under 30 list.

Ardoin and his wife, Heather, have twins, Felix and Margot.
