Dan Szpakowski enters his 11th season with the New York Jets and his second as vice president, 1JD Entertainment, after being promoted to the role prior to the 2025 season. He joined the organization in 2016 as a team photographer and steadily expanded his responsibilities to include cinematography and leadership across the club's content strategy and production efforts.

In his role, Szpakowski leads the organization's content strategy and production ecosystem, overseeing how the team plans, creates, and distributes content across platforms to grow brand affinity and deepen fan connection. He oversees 1JD Entertainment, the team's in-house content and production arm, which operates across four verticals: 1JD Films (long-form and cinematic storytelling), 1JD Studios (studio and live production), 1JD Connect (branded and marketing content), and 1JD Pulse (social and platform-specific content strategy). Together, these verticals drive the Jets' comprehensive storytelling and fan engagement efforts.

Szpakowski sets the strategic direction behind the Jets content operation, leading collaboration across social, marketing, digital, creative, and production teams. He has driven the strategy and execution of the organization's flagship content franchises, including One Jets Drive, Flight, and Origins, and major NFL tentpole moments such as the Combine, Draft, and Schedule Release, along with nearly a decade of brand campaign work. He also played a key role in the 2024 rebrand and campaign rollout and again in 2025 for the Rivalries uniform launch, ensuring creative consistency across departments from concept through execution. That creative leadership contributed to the Jets earning 20 New York Emmy nominations in 2025, winning six.

Szpakowski began his NFL career with the New York Giants, serving as a broadcast production intern before being promoted to broadcast and digital media. He later spent one year at Time Inc. as a cinematographer and studio technician before joining the Jets.

A New Jersey native, Szpakowski earned his bachelor's degree in communication and production from Stockton University. He and his wife were married in 2022 and currently live in New Jersey with their son, Benjamin, and their two rescue dogs, Wesley and Truman.
