Adam Engroff enters his first season with the New York Jets as senior personnel, special projects. Prior to joining the Jets, he spent 27 years with the Miami Dolphins (1999-2025), culminating as the team's co-director of player personnel (2019-25).

Engroff oversaw Miami's college scouting department for the past decade, first as director of college scouting (2016-18) and later as co-director of player personnel. In that role, he was responsible for scouting the nation's top collegiate prospects, while also evaluating NFL players and free agents.

During his nearly three decades in Miami, the Dolphins drafted 26 Pro Bowlers and produced 24 PFWA All-Rookie selections, seven of which were drafted during Engroff's tenure leading the club's college scouting department. He also worked alongside Pro Football Hall of Fame coaches Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells, as well as College Football Hall of Fame coach Nick Saban.

Engroff got his start with the Dolphins in the college scouting department, where he specialized in college scouting and draft preparation. He spent nine seasons as a regional scout (2003-11), covering the West Coast, before being promoted to national scout (2012-15).

Prior to Miami, Engroff spent one season working in football operations for the Orange Bowl Committee. Before that, he scouted high school football players for the Prep Recruiting Network.

A native of Topeka, KS, Engroff earned his bachelor's degree from Kansas State in 1997 and a master's degree in sports administration from Lynn University in 2000. He was a recipient of the 2024 AIQ Game Changer Award, which honors individuals in professional coaching or personnel management for their innovative spirit, strategic insights, and significant contributions to the industry.

Engroff and his family were named distinguished recipients of the 2020 Luke Award by the St. Luke's Health Foundation in Boise, Idaho, for their work in establishing AJ's Angels Pediatric Cancer Foundation in memory of his son, AJ, and his battle with a pediatric brain tumor.

Engroff resides in Boise, with his three sons, Austin, Brody and Beau. Austin is currently a freshman at USC, where he plays football.
