Randall Jette enters his second season with the New York Jets and his first as a special teams assistant, after spending last season (2025) with the team as part of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship.

Last season (2025), Jette worked closely with Special Teams Coordinator Chris Banjo and Special Teams Assistant Kevin O'Dea, helping to produce one of the top units in football. The Jets posted the highest special teams Expected Points Added (EPA) in the league (62.18)—the highest EPA by a Jets unit this century, and the third highest by any team in the last 10 seasons.  Additionally, the unit improved in nearly every special teams metric, finishing the season with top 10 rankings in 10 major special teams categories, including leading the league in kickoff return average (29.9), field goal percentage (96.6%), extra point percentage (100.0%), and special teams touchdowns (four).

Jette joined the Jets from the college ranks where he spent six seasons, coaching on offense, defense, and special teams. At the University of New Hampshire (2023–24), he was the cornerbacks coach before adding co-special teams coordinator responsibilities in his second year, after one season as a defensive anaylst at the University of Massachusetts (2022), his alma mater. In his lone season at UMass, the Minutemen ranked 12th nationally in third down defense, 25th in first downs allowed, and 55th in total defense. He started his coaching career on the offensive side as the assistant quarterbacks coach at Howard (2020-22) and as the running backs coach for Wagner College (2019).

An Oak Bluffs, MA native, Jette was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent (2016) following five seasons as a defensive back at UMass (2011-15). A four-year starter after redshirting his freshman season, he garnered several conference honors and finished with the second-most passes defensed in school history. He earned his way to UMass after being named Massachusetts Player of the Year at Martha's Vineyard (MA) HS.

Jette and his wife, Claudia, have a daughter, Maya.
