Biography
Jon Berger enters his second season with the New York Jets as the team's game management coordinator. A four-time Super Bowl champion, Berger has over 30 years of experience in the NFL, spending most of his career in various roles with the New York Giants.
Prior to joining the Jets, Berger most recently served as the vice president of replay for the NFL (2023-24), having been promoted to the position from replay officiating trainer (2021-22).
He got his start in the NFL in 1981 as an intern with the Giants right out of high school and became a full-time intern in media relations and pro scouting (1986), following his graduation from SUNY Albany. Berger was then hired full-time the following season (1987) as a computer coordinator and was promoted to senior director of football information (2007)–a position he held for nearly 15 seasons. During his tenure, he worked closely with the Giants coaching staff, helping the organization win two Super Bowls (XLII and XLVI) in a five-year span.
A native New Yorker, Berger attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan before earning his bachelor's degree in computer science and applied mathematics from SUNY Albany (1985).
Berger and his wife, Alicia, have two kids, Justin, and Keri.
