Week 12 Rapid Roundup

From Mother Nature, to a Change in Venue and a Shot at Redemption, Rewind the Week's Top Storylines

Mother Nature has been the storyline all week. Inside the Jets locker room, players fielded questions about game day and location changes, and any potential disadvantages the Bills face with missed practices.

Before heading into the bye, the Jets ended their 8-game losing streak and pulled off the unexpected upset over Pittsburgh. The defense was stingy in the red zone and netted 3 takeaways, while the offense did not commit a turnover and put together 4 scoring drives (2 TD, 2 FG). Can they carry that momentum into Ford Field for their Monday night showdown with the Bills?

Last time the Jets played the Bills, Geno Smith was the starter, Mike Vick came off the bench and the lack of offensive rhythm was apparent. Undone by 6 team turnovers in that loss to Buffalo, the Jets' veteran QB admittedly walked off the field with 'mixed emotions.' Benefitting from several weeks of prep with the ones, and two full games under center, Vick is focused on proving this team is better than their Week 8 showing, a 43-23 defeat.

Joining the Green & White just days before the Jets-Bills first matchup of the season, Percy Harvin is looking to make a bigger impact the second time around. Harvin also has an impressive stat line when playing on Ford Field's 'fast track.' In four games, he's pulled in 26 catches for 201 YDs and two TDs, 11 rushes for 62 yards…and a game-opening 105-yard kickoff return TD in his last visit there in 2012.

Rumors swirled all week about when and where and the Jets-Bills Week 12 matchup would be played. On Thursday night the speculation was put to rest, when the NFL announced that the time and location were set: Monday night, Ford Field.

The Jets have touched down in Motown. Here's a preview of the Jets-Bills primetime matchup.
