Following the Jets' season opener Sunday against the Steelers, here is a look at the members of the Green & White who received the highest grades from Pro Football Focus.
*DL Quinnen Williams, 92.0 *DL Quinnen Williams, who has earned Pro Bowl honors the last three years, led the Jets with a 92.0 PFF grade in Week 1. Williams recorded 4 tackles during Sunday's season opener, including a sack for a 9-yard loss. His 93.0 run defense grade was the highest among interior defenders across the league.
"Quinnen Williams had a heck of a game," LB Jamien Sherwood said. … "We showed up as a defense when it came to the run."
*Sauce Gardner, 90.3 *CB Sauce Gardner led all NFL cornerbacks with a 90.3 grade after his Week 1 performance. Gardner, who followed Steelers' receiver DK Metcalf throughout Sunday's contest, forced two incompletions and only allowed 11 receiving yards.
"I thought Sauce had a really good game as far as challenging DK," HC Aaron Glenn said. "That's a tough cover, but I thought he held his own in that situation. We put him in some one-on-one situations and that's tough going against a grown man like that, but I thought he did a really good job."
*OT Armand Membou, 89.0 *In his first NFL game, OT Armand Membou led the Jets' offense with an 89.0 PFF grade, which ranked first among offensive tackles in Week 1. The seventh overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft allowed 0 pressures in his pro debut. His run block grade, 90.3, was second among tackles across the league.
"I think he just has everything you want in a tackle," C Josh Myers said. "His bend, his athleticism, his ability to move, the run and pass game is really impressive. Especially that being the first game of his career, that was an impressive showing out of him."
*WR Garrett Wilson, 86.1 *Garrett Wilson's highly anticipated reunion with his college QB, Justin Fields, lived up to expectations. The fourth-year receiver received an 86.1 grade, the second highest among wide receivers in Week 1. Wilson recorded 7 receptions for 95 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown.
"It's Garrett," Fields said of the touchdown pass to his receiver. "It's like we always talk about, it's nothing complicated. Simple. He had man on that play, and he won, just like Garrett does."
*QB Justin Fields, 82.2 *In his Green & White debut, Fields earned an 82.2 grade from PFF. Fields was 16-of-22 for 218 yards and a touchdown, and he added 48 yards on the ground and 2 rushing scores. Fields' grade ranked 9th among QBs across the league in Week 1.
"I just want our quarterback to be efficient, and he went out there and did that," HC Aaron Glenn said. "With him and the run game, the way that he runs the read option game and he makes a decision on keeping the ball, I thought he was outstanding on that. Some of these throws that he got out of the pocket and he set himself up, got his shoulders square and delivered the ball, I thought was outstanding."
RB Breece Hall, 81.5
RB Breece Hall led the Jets with 107 rushing yards Sunday, and he added 2 receptions for 38 yards. His production earned him an 81.5 grade, the highest among running backs across the league in Week 1.
"I think what Breece did really speaks for itself," HC Aaron Glenn said. … "He's a tough runner, he has really good speed. You saw a couple of those runs he made that he should have been stopped for negative yards, but he made some things happen on his own and he ended up getting a tough three or four yards on that."
