Jets Fans and Players Cook Up Special Dishes at ICE Cooking School

The Jets, in collaboration with Special Olympics New Jersey, launched a Unified High School Flag Football League that includes four New Jersey high schools who will compete in the new league. The Jets hosted a kickoff clinic for all participants at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center on Wednesday and each team participated in a number of drills and also received uniforms, footballs, flag belts, and practice jerseys along with hope that this league serves as a pilot for the state to offer Unified Flag Football as an official sport for high schools in the future. The Jets hosted the Inaugural Girls Flag Football Invitational presented by Nike at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center on Saturday. Eight high school teams from New York City and New Jersey participated in a modified three game pool-style tournament. The winner of each pool competed in a final championship game, with the winning school receiving a trophy and invitation to attend the Jets pre-season Play Football game.

The Jets and Chicago Bears announced the expansion of the Jets and Bears NFL Girls Flag League in the UK, with participation numbers more than doubling and now includes multiple London boroughs. Over 200 girls from 21 participating schools kicked off the league in Southwest London and were joined by Jets LB Quincy Williams and Bears LB Tremaine Edmunds.

The Jets hosted the first annual Girls High School Flag Football media day at MetLife Stadium, presented by Nike with support from Gatorade and Visa. More than 60 high schools representing eight athletic conferences throughout New York and New Jersey attended the event. Two players and their head coach participated in interviews and attended a talk with Nausicaa Dell'Orto, captain of the Italian National Flag Football Team.

Jets business staff members packaged more than 60,000 meals in appreciation of the National Day of Service. The meals were donated to Community Foodbank of New Jersey, Nourish NJ and Homeless Solutions.

Jets Walter Payton Man of the Year, Solomon Thomas, helped host the third annual Super Football Conference Steve DiGregorio Young Man of the Year Award presentation at MetLife Stadium and wrapped up his student-athlete mental health awareness program. The eight divisional winners for the Steve DiGregorio Young Man of the Year Award were also honored at the event, and Solomon Thomas awarded the winner, Bradley Manso, two tickets to this year's Super Bowl in Phoenix, AZ.
