As Jets Search for Offensive Production in Week 12, RB Breece Hall Said 'It's All About Execution'

Hall is Averaging a Career-High 72.2 Rushing Yards Per Game

Though every game plays out differently, for RB Breece Hall, the objective is always the same: make the most of your opportunities.

"Sometimes, you're able to call all the plays, get all the plays off the play sheet. Sometimes, you're not," Hall said. "So, for me, it's just about doing my job and being effective the times I do get the ball."

Hall has been the workhorse of a unit that ranks fifth in the NFL in rushing yards per game (141.6). Individually, he is averaging the most rushing yards per game of his career (72.2) and is on pace to surpass 1,000 yards on the ground for the first time in his NFL career. His 722 rushing yards rank 12th in the league this season, while his 948 scrimmage yards are the ninth most in the league.

"I'm running the ball very efficiently," Hall said. "I'm up there in explosive runs, explosive plays, yards per carry after contact, yards before contact. The O-line's been blocking very well. So, it's been good to see how efficient we've been running the ball, how effective it's been."

Hall praised the efforts of the Jets' two new O-line members, Armand Membou and Josh Myers, as well as the communication and teamwork of the entire unit. While that unit has been the definition of consistency this season -- the same five players have started every game -- HC Aaron Glenn confirmed Wednesday that there will be a change under center. Tyrod Taylor will make his second start for the Green & White in Week 12, facing the team that drafted him in Baltimore.

"We've always had that next-man up mentality, no matter what the position is," Hall said. "With change comes opportunity, so we're just trying to approach it the same every day and keep getting better."

Despite the quarterback change, Hall said putting "a whole game together" remains the top priority as the Jets take on a Ravens' defense that has recently executed at a high level. The Baltimore unit -- which has allowed fewer than 20 points in five consecutive games and recorded 9 takeaways since Week 6 -- features several key weapons.

"[ILB] Roquan [Smith] is Roquan," Hall said. "He's going to be Mike backer for the most part, going to be all around the ball every play. But, with [S] Kyle [Hamilton] -- you've got to know where Kyle's at. … A big indicator of knowing what they're doing on defense is knowing where he's at. So, I feel like we've just got to always know what personnel they're in, figure out where he's at and adjust from there."

As the team searches for more offensive production, Hall could look to get more involved in the passing game this week. No matter how the game unfolds, though, he will aim to maximize his opportunities.

"I think the offense doesn't change much," he said. "It's all about execution at this point."
