The New York Jets have waived wide receiver Logan Payne. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Payne (6'2", 205) originally joined the Jets as a member of the practice squad Oct. 9, 2010. He was inactive for the first six games of the 2011 season with a wrist injury and then was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 22. Prior to joining the Jets, Payne had spent time on the practice squads of the Vikings (2010), Lions (2009), Chiefs (2009) and Seahawks (2007) after entering the league as an undrafted free agent with Seattle in 2007. In his career, he has played in two games, both starts, and had three receptions for 39 yards.
