Jets Claim CB Maurice Canady, Place S Rontez Miles on IR

Former 6th-Round Pick Has Played in 24 Games Since 2016

The Jets have claimed CB Maurice Canady on waivers and places S Rontez Miles on injured reserve.

Canady was drafted by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2016 draft and has spent his entire career with Baltimore. The Virginia product played in four games this season and recorded two tackles before he was waived Tuesday. The 6'1", 193-pounder has totaled 48 tackles, four pass defenses and one interception in 24 games (2 starts).

Miles played in seven for the Green & White this season but missed last game with neck and hip ailments. The fifth-year pro, one of six team captains, primarily played on special teams and leads the team with seven stops.
