A day after announcing the re-signing of special teams ace Josh Martin, the Jets inked K Chandler Catanzaro to a deal.

The Clemson product originally signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and won the kicking job in training camp. In his three years in the desert, Catanzaro hit on 84.8% of his field goal attempts and added 140 touchbacks.

In 2015, Catanzaro was 28-of-31 on field goals and he tied the Cardinals franchise record with 53 PATs. His 137 points ranked third in the NFL and his 19 consecutive makes on FG attempts between Games 7 and 15 tied for the second-longest streak in team history.

Catanzaro established a franchise rookie record with 114 points in 2014 and his 51-yard FG in Week 3 vs. San Francisco was the longest by a rookie in Cardinals history. After walking on at Clemson, Catanzaro left as the school's all-time scorer with 404 points.
