WR Quinton Patton Visits the Jets

Patton Set Career Highs in 2016 with 37 Receptions and 408 Yards Receiving

The Jets hosted veteran free agent wideout Quinton Patton for a visit on Saturday afternoon.

Patton, a fourth-round pick of the 49ers in 2013, spent his first four professional seasons in San Francisco. Last season, he set career highs with 37 receptions and 408 yards receiving.

After combining for only six receptions his first two seasons, the 6'0", 204-pounder totaled 67 catches in 2015-16. For his career, Patton has amassed 73 receptions for 880 yards with 13 catches covering 20 yards.

Jets offensive coordinator John Morton served as Patton's first WR coach in 'Frisco from 2013-14. Morton was the Saints WR coach last year when Patton registered new career highs with six receptions for 106 yards against New Orleans on Nov. 6, marking Patton's first 100-yard receiving game of his career. He also had four catches vs. the Jets in the Green & White's overtime victory at San Francisco on Dec. 11.

In two seasons at Louisiana Tech,  Patton started 25 games while tallying  183 receptions for 2,594 yards and 24 TD.
