New Jets wide receiver and kick returner Lucky Whitehead is eager to turn the page after he was wrongfully accused of shoplifting.

"It's been crazy," Whitehead told the media following the Jets' first practice. "A lot's been going on and I'm just happy to get the opportunity to start over and clean my slate."

The Green & White acquired the 5'9", 180-pounder on waivers from Dallas on Wednesday.

The Florida Atlantic product took reps as both punt returner and receiver in today's practice and said he's trying to build chemistry as quickly as possible with his new teammates.

"I can help the team any way I can," Whitehead said. "I'm going to try to make this roster and be a playmaker."
