The Jets announced that they have acquired WR Jeremy Butler off waivers from Tampa Bay and also released WR Jeremy Ross.

Butler, a 6'2", 213-pounder, totaled 363 yards on 31 receptions last season with the Ravens. The Tennessee-Martin product spent his rookie season (2014) on injured reserve after suffering a shoulder injury in training camp.

With the Ravens this preseason, Butler finished second in the NFL with 16 catches. After being waived by the Ravens in their final cuts, Butler joined the Buccaneers' practice squad.

Ross, who worked with the Jets this preseason, signed with the Green & White on Sep. 29, 2016. He was active the past two weeks and returned two kicks for 52 yards.
