The view from above as the Jets prepare to kick off their season vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on 9/8/13 at MetLife Stadium.

Playing in the first game of his career, QB Geno Smith throws 38 passes, but it's a 10-yard run, complemented with a flag for a late hit, that ends up being the story in the end. The Jets defeat the Bucs 18-17 on opening day.

With some help from G Vladimir Ducasse driving DT Vince Wilfork backward, RB Bilal Powell scores our only touchdown of the game in New England Week 2, a 13-10 defeat.

WR Stephen Hill reels in a 51-yard TD in the first half of the Jets-Bills game, 9/22/13 in East Rutherford, NJ. It would end up being one of four completions of 40-plus yards on the day for the Green & White.

TE Jeff Cumberland makes the most of his one reception of the day, breaking a tackle and running in for a 34-yard touchdown, but it's too little too late as the Jets fall to the Titans 38-13 in Nashville.

DE Muhammad Wilkerson (96) and DT Damon Harrison (94) pressure QB Matt Ryan (2) in a primetime, Monday Night Football game in Atlanta. Wilkerson's strip-sack in the game helped propel the Jets to a 30-28 last-second victory.

RB Le'Veon Bell can't escape a trio of Green & White defenders, LB Calvin Pace (97), LB David Harris (52), and S Antonio Allen (39), but the Steelers do escape with a win, 19-6 on 10/13/13 in East Rutherford, NJ.

Tied with the Patriots at 27 in overtime, K Nick Folk knocks through a 42-yard field goal to win the game against our division foes on 10/20/13 in front of the MetLife Stadium crowd.

First-year QB Matt Simms enters the Cincinnati game in the fourth quarter but finishes the game as our leading rusher with 35 yards on just three carries, including a 10-yard valiant effort on 4th-and-11.

RB Chris Ivory becomes the first New York Jet player since the 1970 merger to run for three 25-plus yard plays in one game as he faces his former employer, the New Orleans Saints on 11/3/13 at MetLife Stadium.
