Getting to Know DT Kenrick Ellis
Kenrick Ellis was selected in the third round of the 2011 draft out of Hampton University of the MEAC in Virginia. He previously attended the University of South Carolina.
He's a fan of the new show "Power" starring Omari Hardwick and Lela Loren on Starz.
Ellis enjoys 1995 movies "Waterworld" and "Judge Dredd."
Before most 1 p.m. home games, Ellis has a meal of four eggs scrambled with cheese and oatmeal with cinnamon.
Ellis like to get his "blood flowing a little bit" by listening to "The Amigos" while getting ready for game time.
To unwind and relax after a game, Ellis said he likes to listen to Bob Marley's "Legend" album.
Ellis said his love of football trumps all other sports. When asked if he enjoyed watching another sport besides football, he said "college football."
Ellis was born in Jamaica and spent 11 years there before moving to West Palm Beach, FL.
He doesn't work on them, but Ellis said he likes vintage automobiles.
If he were not playing football, Ellis believes he would be an entrepreneur of some sort and would have studied business management or business administration at school.
