Get to Know: Jeff Cumberland
10 Things You Might Not Have Known About No. 85

Cumberland signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois in 2010.

He began his career at Illinois as a tight end, but switched to wide receiver during his sophomore season.

Cumberland said his best football memory was winning a state championship in 2004 with Brookhaven High School in Ohio. The high school was shut down after the 2013-14 school year.

During his career with the Jets, Cumberland has worn three jersey numbers. He started his career wearing No. 86 and he donned No. 87 last season. He switched to No. 85 this season after the Jets signed WR Eric Decker.

His first receiving touchdown came against the Arizona Cardinals in 2012 from former QB Greg McElroy, a game the Jets won, 7-6.

Cumberland also caught QB Matt Simms' first touchdown pass in a loss to the Buffalo Bills last season.

Cumberland said he doesn't have a particular favorite artist or song, but instead likes to listen to Pandora and "let it play," but if he wants to get pumped, he will listen to The Amigos if he wants "to jump around a little bit."

His favorite meal would consist of fried chicken, fried tilapia, mac and cheese, yams and rice and gravy.

Cumberland prefers apple pie to pumpkin pie during the Holidays, but his favorite dessert is homemade cheesecake.

He's not much of a video game guy, something he said is a result of not having them while growing up. He said he plays his Xbox four times a year only if his friends are there playing with him.
