Giacomini's high school football career began at the quarterback position as a freshman and sophomore. As a junior, he shifted from QB to center - in basketball that is.

He didn't stay out of football for long though, returning for his senior season and shifting to outside linebacker and tight end. That same year, he also began selling hot dogs and fried dough outside of Fenway Park.

Giacomini played some offensive tackle and some tight end for his first three seasons at the University of Louisville. It wasn't until his senior season that he became a full-time fixture along the O-line.

In 2007, Breno Giacomini was a senior for the Louisville Cardinals. At that time, a pair of talented freshmen joined the roster - RB Bilal Powell and CB Johnny Patrick. Seven years later, all three are members of the Green & White roster.
