Tomlinson entered the league as a first round pick (5 overall) selected by the San Diego Chargers. In his first season he rushed for 412 yards and 6 touchdowns while he caught 59 passes as a receiver. In 2010 Tomlinson signed with the Jets as a free agent for two seasons. Registering 145 career rushing touchdowns he ranked second in the NFL, with his 13,684 rushing yards ranked fifth. He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection, a four time All-Pro selection, and was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 2000s.
