- Second-year QB Bryce Petty made his first career start in place of injured QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.
- In the first quarter, Petty connected with rookie WR Robby Anderson for a 52-yard completion. It marked the longest reception of Anderson's career.
- Petty connected with WR Brandon Marshall who then lateralled the ball to RB Bilal Powell for a four-yard touchdown. It marked the first touchdown pass of Petty's career. He completed 9-of-13 passes for 98 yards and one touchdown in the first half.

- Veteran LB David Harris paired with Mauldin for a half-sack in the first quarter, bringing his career total to 35.0. Harris broke a tie with Jeff Lagerman for eighth on the franchise's all-time sacks list since the statistic became official in 1982.
