Get to Know: Buster Skrine
Meet Four-Year Veteran CB and New Jets Acquisition Buster Skrine

Skrine was a two-time First-Team All-Southern Conference selection during his collegiate career at Tennessee-Chattanooga.

After clocking a 4.37-second 40-yard dash at the 2011 NFL Combine, Skrine was selected in the fifth round (137th overall) by the Cleveland Browns.

Skrine played sparingly early in his rookie season, but recorded his first career interception in Week 15 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Skrine broke out in his sophomore campaign, recording 85 tackles and 11 pass break-ups while starting six contests.

The Decatur, Ga., native became a full-time starter in 2013 opposite Pro Bowler Joe Haden, and recorded 18 pass break-ups and an interception to go along with 65 tackles.

Skrine started every game last season for the Browns, totaling 67 tackles, another 18 pass break-ups and a career-high four interceptions.

In four professional seasons, Skrine has picked off six passes, defended 49 overall and registered 235 tackles.

Perhaps most impressively, Skrine has played in every game in his pro career and has never missed a game due to injury.

Over the last two seasons, Skrine is unofficially third in the NFL in passes defensed with 36, trailing only Haden (40) and Philadelphia's Bradley Fletcher (37).
