Defense In Action: New York Jets Cornerbacks

Antonio Cromartie tied for the team lead with three interceptions last season.

Along with C Nick Mangold, Cromartie represented the Jets at this year's Pro Bowl. It was his third trip to Hawaii of his career.

Used primarily in the slot, Kyle Wilson played in all 16 games for the fourth consecutive season.

The Piscataway, NJ native won the team's Marty Lyons Award for Community Service and also represented the Jets as our Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award representative.

Only Cromartie (16) and Dee Milliner (12) started more games at corner for the Jets last season than Darrin Walls (3).

Walls enters this offseason as one of four potential restricted free agents for the Green & White.

After being selected ninth overall in April's NFL Draft, expectations were very high for Dee Milliner headed into last season.

Although he hit a few speed bumps along the way, Milliner showed what he was capable of by year's end, going out on top as the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for December.

Ellis Lankster did see some time on defense for the Jets last season, but he was primarily used as one of the anchors on our special teams units.

Lankster was so effective on special teams, that the Miami Dolphins put three guys on him as he raced down the field on kick coverage during our 12/1/13 game.

One year after ending up on IR with a knee injury, Isaiah Trufant played in all 16 games and won our Ed Block Courage Award.

Isaiah's older brother, Marcus, is currently a free agent after having spent a decade in the league, while his younger brother, Desmond, just finished his rookie season with the Atlanta Falcons.
